    Retirees and former employees cannot re-enroll in TexFlex, but if you have a healthcare account when you leave employment, you will need to payback any TexFlex money you have used. You can still use up your remaining TexFlex dollars until December 31 of the current year.

    Your debit card is deactivated on the last day of the month of your employment.

      Continue to make your contributions and use your TexFlex health account even though your debit card is deactivated.

    • Using Your Funds

      Pay for expenses with a TexFlex debit card, or submit a claim for reimbursement.

    • Don't Forget!

      Remember important dates--like November 15 (the last day to spend your TexFlex dollars).
