• HealthSelect of Texas (Out-of-Area)

    HealthSelect out-of-area health insurance coverage is for you and your family members who live or work outside of the State of Texas and/or retirees eligible for Medicare. If you don't fall into these situations, you need to review the in-area information.

    HealthSelect coverage includes a comprehensive Prescription Drug Program.

  • Keep in-area benefits for your dependents

    Your covered dependents under age 65 may continue in-area benefits when you turn 65. Dependents with in-area benefits will have their own ID number and claims must be filed separately. Contact HealthSelect to make this change.

      You and GBP eligible dependents can be added to coverage.

    • Return to Work

      If you are currently enrolled in HealthSelect and Medicare, you have out-of-area benefits. Active employees can elect in-area benefits.

    • Enroll for Retirees

      Enroll during Annual Enrollment or within 31 days of a qualifying life event.
