1. What is the Discount Purchase Program?

 

Answer:

The program allows you to shop online and purchase certain products or services at discounted prices through the Beneplace website. Beneplace is a private company located in Austin that administers the purchase program. Program began September 1, 2010.

2. Who qualifies for the discounts?

 

Answer:

The discounts are available to all State of Texas and higher education active full-time and part-time employees, retirees, and their families (except for employees and retirees from the University of Texas or Texas A&M University Systems).

Please note some discounts will only be available to active employees (e.g. Verizon).

3. How do I review the discounts? 

 

Answer:

Start on the Discount Purchase Program Website to view available discounts. Search by products and follow the "how to participate" section of the offer.

If you don't have internet access, you may contact Beneplace customer service.

 4. What is the discount amount and code? 

 

Answer:

 The discount amount varies by offer. Each offer will list the discount and instructions for receiving it.

Some of the vendors who offer discounts require a discount code. Discount codes are unique to each offer. Carefully review the "How to Participate" section of the offer for details.

5.  Are the discounts available at retail stores? 

 

Answer:

Most discounts are only available online; however, you can get some discounts in person.  For example, Toyota has program information posted online, but to complete the transaction you must go in person to a participating dealership. For example, Sears has program information posted online, but the transaction can only be completed in person or over the phone.

6. How often do the discount amounts change? 

 

Answer:

New offers approved by ERS will be added periodically. Once approved, vendor's discounts are subject to change. Subscribe to discount purchase program updates.

7. Who do I contact if there is a problem with my order? 

 

Answer:

You will need to work directly with the merchant to resolve any problems with your orders. ERS does not endorse or sponsor any service or service provider. Beneplace can assist with general information about the offer and any escalated customer service inquires.
