Decide on Daily Maximum Benefit
First, you will choose your Daily Maximum Benefit (DMB) option. The DMB is the maximum amount your insurance pays for all covered services received on any day.
Each option has a corresponding Lifetime Maximum Benefit (LMB). The LMB is the total pool of money payable for covered long-term care services received while you are insured.

1The total of benefits payable for all informal care received in any calendar year is 30 times the Informal Care DMB.
Example: Vicki elects DMB option 2. This means that if Vicki is in a nursing home or alternate care facility, the maximum amount Long-Term Care Insurance will pay for her care is $150 a day, up to a lifetime maximum of $328,500.
