Add Coverage

When you experience a qualifying life event, you have the opportunity to add or change coverage for yourself or additional family members. The following qualifying life events will allow you to add you, your spouse, and/or child(ren) to coverage within the first 31 days of the event.

• Marriage
• Birth of child (self or dependents)
• Newly acquired dependent (foster child, adopted child, or court appointed)
• Employment change
• Moving out of service area (self or dependents)
• Eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, or CHIP
• Significant change in costs
• Changes in coverage by another plan for health or dental
• Approved/removed from Health Insurance Premium Payment (HIPP) Reimbursement
• Increase in day care expenses
• Court orders for health coverage
• Eligibility changes for dependents

If changes are not made within 31 days of the event, you will need to wait until the next annual enrollment period.
