A new state law offers tobacco users in the GBP coverage for prescription drugs to help them quit tobacco. It also authorizes charging higher premiums for people who continue to use tobacco starting January 1, 2012.
If you or your dependents use tobacco, you must certify this tobacco use. If you or anyone you cover under GBP health coverage uses tobacco, you will have to pay the higher premium.
Retirees, survivors, and their dependents have the option to enroll in KelseyCare Advantage HMO if they are enrolled in Medicare and in the Houston area.
Retirees, survivors, and their dependents enrolled in Medicare received notice about the Humana Medicare Advantage Plan. This coverage will be the default GBP coverage for those enrolled in Medicare, beginning January 1, 2012.
