  • Long-Term Care program closed to new enrollments

    John Hancock Life Insurance Company, the group Long-Term Care Insurance provider, stopped accepting new enrollments on January 1, 2012.

    Employees or dependents who already have Long-Term Care Insurance coverage through John Hancock will continue their coverage. If you have questions about this decision or your Long-Term Care Insurance coverage, call John Hancock toll-free at (800) 400-9396.

  • Continuing benefits when you leave employment

    Long-Term Care benefit payments may continue after you terminate employment if you are:

    • employed on the date the disabling condition began, and
    • enrolled in the coverage on the date the disability began.

    If you retire or leave state employment, your coverage may be continued at group rates. You will continue to pay premiums directly to John Hancock.
