Upon the approval of the
Executive Director, ERS may reimburse an employee for the cost of tuition, fees
and books incurred for classes that are job related and are taken at an
accredited college or university as defined by Education Code, Chapter 61.003
for the completion of a degree program.
Reimbursement can only be given after the employee has successfully
completed the course with a passing grade of at least a ‘C’ or the equivalent.
Reimbursement is subject to the availability of funds and currently is limited
to $2,500 per semester with a maximum annual reimbursement of $7,500.
